Hi,
I’m not sure if this is the correct venue for questions about Divi themes, but since I don’t have anything to do with Divi/Elegant-whatever, I’m hoping someone could share a little bit of knowledge.
So, I was tasked to moving a site that somebody else developed in a “workshop” for their own webhotel. Only after the fact I learned that the thing was done with the Divi theme, which I’m not familiar with. They are using multi-installation thing, and cannot provide me with FTP/Mysql access, which means I cannot move the whole site.
Instead they instructed me to just import the theme to the new WordPress installation. I was given Divi.zip theme, Divi-theme-choices.json, Divi-customizer-settings.json, and wordpress.xml files.
When I did the importing of the theme and the settings, I’m getting some things, but the site is completely broken, (sidebar has extra things, not enought things on the bottom, and it’s missing pictures).
Now, what I’d like to know is:
Can I even do this without access to the Divi Builder, which I’m not about to purchase for a standalone website which is supposed to not even need any editing after the workshop.
and
If the importing can be done without the Builder, should I have other files other than the wordpress xml, two json’s and the .zip theme? Am I missing something that I would need in order to make the importing work?
Thanks,
